Fireplace Video Scan Inspection (Type 2)

Video Inspections are typically requested by insurance
companies, private adjusters and other legal entities to
evidence damage when processing claims. They can also be
used to diagnose smoke related issues on multi unit
dwellings with jogged chimneys however they are not needed
for typical residential inspection/cleanings.
If a chimney company would like to perform a video scan
during a routine visit “proceed with caution”.
Typical hairline cracks in the flue caused by home
settling which may fall within tolerance levels can look
scary to an unsuspecting homeowner when magnified using
video scan technology.

We cannot provide cleaning or repair services for
“slammers” due to CSIA, NFPA, Insurance & building
code regulations. We will provide the customer with
a quote to have the appliance properly installed however
no service can be provided until remedied.

*price increases when additional materials are needed to
access the roof safely such as; scaffolding, bucket truck.
The size of the chimney also effects the price as larger
custom cap sizes are more expensive.
